Hello,

I wonder why there is still not teardown to see how the thermal was tackled. Any indepth review for benchmarks, temperatures etc. around? I can only find basic ones which are not good enough.
I'm mostly curious about the difference in temperature, noise levels, GPU and i5 vs i9 speeds and overall improvements.
I'll probably still wait for an update but might consider this model if the noise is fixed and its not iOven like 2017

I'm looking forward to see the same things. The only teardown I found was for the 4k model from ifixit which is not finished yet;

That is a sad look :)
I'll wait for WWDC and then will see. I think perhaps update on iMac in Fall is likely. If not then Apple might not get anything from me :)
I guess the cooling/noise at this point is the most important thing. 2017 noise levels etc. put me off completely.

Lets see what the Mac Pro + Display brings as that might seal it for me if the entry model is fairly affordable :)

fwiw, my geekbench score (day 1)... 21" i7, 16gb ram...

I check iFixit and Barefeats every other day. I want to see exactly how different the i9 models are because coming from the top of the line late-2015 iMac, this thing feels twice as fast & 4x as quiet as my 4Ghz i7 from 2015. I hear the i9's fans but no visible throttling below base-clock and the fan is very quiet.
