Still Preparing for Shipment

My phone is supposed to arrive 9/19, but the apple store website says the phone is still preparing for shipment. Is this normal?

Mine still says preparing for shipment but I put my phone number as the reference number on UPS and got my tracking number. Its on its way 🙂

I ordered my 6(not plus) 64gb, silver on the 13th and it has said "preparing for shipment" since about two hours after I placed the order. It hasn't changed since then. I ordered through AT&T.
