So i got home and downloaded tiny umbrella. i hit save shsh. It found 4.3 and 4.2.1. I highlighted 4.2.1 and then it says to restore your device using shsh press start tss server. So i did that, and the wheel has been spinning for a while. did i miss anything?

Did you do <option>+restore in itunes and pick the 4.2.1 ipsw?

Phew! Apple is still signing 4.2.1! I opened a sealed iPhone shipped from apple and it had 4.2.1 preinstalled. I saved the SHSHs for 4.2.1 and 4.3 betas using tiny umbrella.
Thanks for the help guys.

so i found the ipsw, and got half way through and got error 1013. help!

Use TU to kick it out of recovery.
Read TU's blog for instructions on how to do that by putting it in dfu etc....
The step by step is there on the site I posted.

Yep, I just grabbed my SHSHs for 4.3 using TU and it showed that it also grabbed the ones for 4.2.1 (although I already had those).

Interesting enough, it also grabbed the SHSHs for 4.3b1, 4.3b2, and 4.3b3. Not that it's out of the ordinary, but I just thought it was kinda cool.
