I feel bad for those of you that can't get it. It's truly an awesome case and I would suggest J&R through Amazon. Those Aussies nailed it.
 
I could vouch for the STM cases. My family has been using a few products from this company and we have loved it for our macbooks. They are very durable and soft to touch to carry around.

The issue I have with doing this at the moment is the fact that I'd be unsure what model I'd get, the one that has been butchered with the magnets, or a new design.

That's why ive been waiting for uk stock.
 
Cancelled my order with eoutlet today, if their ETA of 30th May is correct then no thanks.

Thinking of ordering from America though wouldn't know between the Skinny and the Grip. Will probably just wait and buy it from solutions inc if their ETA of 7-10 days is correct.

Yep. I emailed eOutlet yesterday and they've come back today saying 30th May (no apologies for delay right enough) and they are still taking orders on their website under the pretence that they'll be in stock "soon".

Going to cancel and look elsewhere. 10 weeks is a ridiculous length of time to have to wait.

As above, considering solutions inc are estimating it within a week or two I feel like they been misinformed, who knows though.
 
yep, for this reason I've ordered a maroo case from USA, however, they wouldn't express post it to me, they said they only offer the cheaper slower postage, even tho i offered to pay more!
As soon as i started emailing and asking questions, i suddenly received an email saying that my parcel had been despatched.... hmmm coincidence I think.

Stock has cleared and on way to distributor on all colours except blue so black, berry, mushroom and pink should be available any day.
That's from STM. Makes me wonder what the heck e outlet are on about :confused:
 
Do you have to stick the flap in the hole for the iPad to switch off? Or will it go off when you just shut the cover?
 
Ahh ok, that's good. I just wasn't sure whether the front would have to be held tight for th magnets to kick in or not. I'm glad that's the case.
 
I ordered a black STM Skinny for iPad 3 yesterday on Radtech's web site.
It said estimated ship date April 6th, but today I got an email saying it was shipped.

I got it today (Canada) because I wasn't home for Fedex on the 6th.

It's similar to the Skinny I have on the iPad 2. I'm pretty happy with it.

There's one hardly noticeable cutout on the flap. It's square-shaped (approx half an inch side) cut on 3 sides (to create a flap). It's nowhere near as horrible as some of the pictures I've seen. I notice it only when I actively search for it.

One minor gripe is that the new design Skinny covers the speaker with a plastic grille. My first reaction was that it would muffle the little speaker further.
A quick test revealed that the little speaker can still be pretty loud. At first sight I was thinking of cutting out that plastic grille but now I'm thinking I probably won't.

In summary, if you liked the STM Skinny on the iPad 2 you'll probably like the new STM Skinny on the iPad 3.

If they are expecting it today, surely they can dispatch it within the next couple of days.. Will keep an eye on the website and not order until its showing as in stock. Still unsure of what colour I want!

Black and berry aren't showing as pre-order anymore (the text is gone atleast)

EDIT: They apparently have black and berry in stock, ordered both. Will see what I prefer colour wise and send one back (or both if I don't like the case)

Just had 2 seperate emails confirming despatch. One automated system and one from the customer service team in response to my email.

You had a preorder or ordered today? I sent them an email earlier asking when they would be dispatched (immediately after they said they are in stock) no reply yet.

Ordered on the 18th March. Chased them on Thursday only to get an email Thursday or Friday saying that it wouldn't be in stock until 30th May.

I replied asking if they'd made a mistake and got an email this morning to say yes they had made an error. Items were due in stock today. This afternoon I got an email to say they were in stock and mine had been sent out in the 1st class post. Later got system generated email confirming dispatch.
