Really frustrated with this one. Apple pay is great but if I need to fish out my phone to use a loyalty card it kind of defeats the object.

Stocard app does not seem to have any way to keep the screen on when you turn it away so it goes blank when presenting to the terminal, it by some freak I contort my arm enough to keep the screen on the code does not read anyway.

Am I missing something, anybody got it working?

Nope. In addition to the problem you mentioned, the last two updates have been total disasters. The Watch app portion simply sits there and spins saying Loading... But it never loads.

Does your StoCard watch app work at all? I'm using version 7.3.4 update distributed on January 19.

The app loads ok just cannot get the code to scan. As soon as I turn my wrist towards the scanner the screen goes off, cannot believe apple have still not fixed this. If I do manage to angle my wrist to keep the screen on the codes will not scan.

Works well enough for me. Most of the time, it is scanned with a hand held scanner. Just used it again today.
[doublepost=1548727418][/doublepost]Oh, and everybody is amazed that you can do it on your phone.

I use mine about 2 or 3 times a week. Works fine. I also don’t have the problem of it disappearing when extending my arm. I’m on the latest watchOS if it makes a difference.

Without thinking about it, I just extend my arm with the watch facing up. If you turn your wrist, I could see that triggering the off.

My Stocard works fine. Been using it for months now. Note that you don't have to twist your arm to line up with the scanner, the bar code on your watch face will rotate so it is upright. I know it doesn't stay on long enough sometime, so I simply move my arm, the bar code comes back on the watch screen and badda boom, badda bing it works. Also like on the phone you're most frequently used cards will be at the top of the list when you open the app on your watch. It does draw attention when you scan your loyalty card then pull up your payment card all on your watch! I'm on a series 3 watch.

It's no different than if you use Stocard on your phone. The light that actually scans your card (even manually, not phone or watch) has to hit the bar code just right or it won't read it. Think about when you pulled the plastic card out and put it in front of the scanner. I'll guarantee there were times you had to move it around to line up so it could be read. It's not a flawless system so move your wrist a little and try again if it doesn't work the first time.

Havent opened mine in a while. Just opened it and it opened the fastest I';ve ever seen it. Did you uninstall it from both devices and try installing again?

I'm fortunate that all the shops here in France use hand scanners for loyalty cards and I've never had a problem with Stocard apart from having to verify that you've chosen the right card for the shop. Apple Pay (or Orange pay as it is here) works fine with Wallet when the watch is presented to the reader.

For anybody else getting the "Loading" message on Apple Watch (like me), this occurs when you haven't registered your account (under Settings > Account it will show registered). After I registered I needed to kill the Stocard app on the iPhone and Watch before it realised it was registered. Then the watch app worked as expected.

After you open it and can see the barcode, press the crown button once and close it. Once closed double press the crown bar and bring it back. It will stay on long enough to rotate and scan.

Yes I got pretty much the same reply from their support team this morning:

'Unfortunately, we're currently experiencing a bug that prevents the proper communication between the Stocard phone app and the Apple Watch. I can assure you that our developers are already aware of the problem though and are currently trying to solve it with an update as soon as possible. There should be a new update within the next few days which will make the Watch app usable again.'

They're usually quick with rolling out new updates.

Well, let‘s give it a try...
