Does Barcodes pass to the Apple wallet?
It gives you the option if you want to. I added my top 2 cards that I use most often but did not pass the rest to wallet.Does Barcodes pass to the Apple wallet?
Very interesting. No, it’s definitely the phone app that is shutting down. Seems like the entire site. But interesting that they are updating the app. Wonder if they will restart it.They just released an update today.

Is it just the watch app that is being discontinued?
Thank you for this recommendation. I also needed a good quality privacy-preserving replacement for Stocard and Barcodes is excellent! Wish I'd moved sooner to be honest, it's much faster and I prefer the design (plus, no upsells 🙌).I ended up buying an app called Barcodes. It has a free version, but the top level is a one-time $10 (IIRC) fee to unlock all functionality. It's created by an independent developer which I like.
Barcodes implementation is far superior to how Stocard did this. It's visually much better, but also allows you to group cards in up to 9 different stacks, and add locations to each card for it to appear automatically on the lock screen. The other thing I like, which I have heard that Stocard did as well, but I never knew about it, is convert your key tags so they can be added into Wallet.
As I understand it, Klarna has bought up Stocard.I got this exact message back on September 1, so it sounds like they are doing a rolling shutdown. If that's the case, yours is coming sooner or later.
Glad to hear it's working for you. Maybe Klarna came to their senses & realized it was a stupid idea to buy Stocard & then get rid of one of the main features.I've been using Stocard on my Apple Watch 5 for years to display the QR code for my gym. When I got the new Apple Watch 10 and tried to set it up it didn't work. Tried Klarna to no avail and one day tinkered around with Stocard again on my new watch and it now works ! I didn't reload the QR code - it must have been passed on during setup. Not sure why but Stocard on my new watch is now working !
Barcodes (And probably others, I don't want to sound like a shill for the company) will allow you to move cards into the apple wallet, so it's still a pretty fast process to pull them up. Not as quick as a complication but pretty quick.Stocard is gone. Klarna successfully copied all my cards and seems like a decent app but there is one gigantic problem. It does NOT work with Apple Watch. There are a few apps that do but even those can’t be used as a complication on the watch face like Stocard. I’m kinda mystified why this has happened. We seem to be going backwards.

My plan right now is to screen cap the bar codes from Storcard and add them to a pinned, protected note in Notes.
I’m in Canada and today I got the 14 day shutdown notice in the Stocard app. My partner, however, still has not got the notice, but like someone said earlier it’s probably just a matter of time.Stocard still working perfectly fine in Canada. Still no word from them here that anything is going to change.
My guess is people just don't know about it. I can only speak for myself, but when Klarna shut down Stocard, I had a hard time finding a replacement. Maybe I just don't know what to search for, but I wasn't getting a lot of hits & stopped once I found BarCodes. Thanks for adding this to the list. Always good to know about more alternatives.I am wondering why no one mentioned Supercards yet: https://www.supercardsapp.com/
It is almost a 1:1 copy of Stocard. I found it a few months back when I tried to move away from stocard. The Apple Watch didn`t had the ability to rotate and the Barcode was to small. I emailed the developer and they updated it within a week. I am very impressed.
No Login required, no useless BS.
They also explain how to import from Stocard. Just make a screenshot of every card in stocard and import then.
This is not an Ad or so. I have no relations to the developer. For me it is just way better than Stocard was since Klarna bought them.
