Stolen iphone help

Hey guys,

I recently got my iPhone stolen (and yes i know it's stolen not lost) and i didnt record the IMEI. The thief would have obviously taken out the sim card. Is there any way that my provider can block the IMEI even though i don't have it?

if you still have the iphone 4 box then your imei code is there

Well first of all it's an iPhone 3G and no the box has been thrown away 🙁

Anything i can do? Or am i S#!% out of luck?

Your provider should know your imei.

I'm thinking this is most likely the fact. Even if you knew your IMEI most carriers don't have the resources to do anything about it - even blocking it, which in all honesty I find to be pathetic - but that's besides the point. Sorry man.

Not 100% true. They have the resources but not all operators implement blocking as a policy. This is what's really pathetic.

I guess it would be an invasion of privacy though... Oh well there goes an almost new iPhone 🙁 Thanks anyway guys 🙂
