stolen Macbook?

I have came across an ad on Craigslist selling a brand new macbook but when asked if he had a receipt he claims he received it as a gift

I was wondering if i had purchased it would there still be a 1 year manufactures warranty? and am I able to purchase the apple care 3 year warranty?

Im actually thinking just go and buy a refurb macbook instead for almost the same price and not have to worry about it

I decided to purchase a refurb instead, its not worth the risk. Hopfully it arrives next week

You could've asked for the serial number, then confirmed it with Apple..

Since you posted here thinking a machine was stolen, you are knowingly receiving stolen merchandise if it does turn out to be stolen.
