stop auto OS install after downloading

Hi
I just downloaded El Capitan so that I can make a USB bootable but I am not able to close the "Continue" screen which automatically shows up without a close button.

That sounds... unnecessary. Just right-click in the Dock and select Quit.

That probably doesn't work, since the apps that are open will just be relaunched upon login. Simply quitting the app is much much easier.

Uh, yeah. If OP want to do something afterwards rather than installing system, quitting the app using Cmd + Q is more reasonable.

Oh, ok. In fact I never try to restart to close that app. I just cmd+q and all done. 😉
