stop evernote from starting up

is there a way to stop the evernote helper from starting up? I tried deleting it from the start up items in my account preference, but it keeps adding itself to it later. Is there a way to permanently stop it from automatically starting up? Thanks! 😀

Not sure if this question is still an active concern of yours or not since it was posted so long ago, but I just hunted around for this info this morning and thought I'd respond.

As I understand it, evernotehelper is there to listen for global keyboard shortcuts for Evernote.

I found a response about shutting it down here:

The basics are this:

open Evernote --> preferences --> shortcuts
click the "x" by each to turn them off
open system preferences -->accounts --> your account --> login items and delete evernotehelper via the "-" key at the bottom after you've selected it

When I restarted, evernotehelper did not. Enjoy! Be warned that if you like using evernote's global keyboard shortcuts, you can't after doing all of this.
