Stop folder copy but keep already copied files?

Is there a way to retain the files from a partially copied folder if I cancel the copy process?

My 2TB external hard drive is failing, as confirmed by Disk Utility and Disk Warrior. But copying the files and folders to a good hard drive is taking forever - the 'Copy' process says it will take two weeks and more for some folders (of about 395GB).

I want to stop the folder copy process before it finishes but keep what's been already copied from the folder to the good hard disk. Is there any way to do this?
