Stop Notifications While At Computer?

Has anyone figured out the secret to stopping notifications while you are at your computer. For example on my phone/watch I use cloud magic for email. On my mac I use mail. Every time i get an email I want to receive the notification on my phone/watch (if i am not at my computer).


Any tips?
