Anyone found a way of stopping music on their iPhone from automatically playing when getting in their car?

If my iPhones Bluetooth is already turned on on when getting in my car then Apple Music automatically plays.

It’s driving me mad having to get my phone out of my pocket to close Music, which I never opened in the first place.

I'm going to say either its a setting on your car bluetooth stereo OR you'll have to do what I do which is turn mobile data off for the affected music app when you're in the car. very annoying I agree. Apple didn't have another fix when I called them about it a few years back.

Mine does it with mobile data turned off for music.

I think I've found a fix elsewhere in the form of creating a shortcut automation...

The old fix used to be putting a song in your library that was dead silence and naming it AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. Many of us were plagued by A-Punk by Vampire Weekend blasting every time we got in our car.

Strange that Apple do this.
I once got in the car with my boss from work and straight away the speakers outputted the obscenities of Derek & Clives ‘Adnauseum’ album. Quite embarrassing.

I’ve been listening to a podcast on my Bluetooth headphones and get into the car and it switches to the car audio. Can’t decide if it’s the car hijacking the Bluetooth connection or phone deciding to switch. Happens in both my Toyotas. I’ve started switching my source to satellite before shutting car off which fixes the problem for me.

It's got to be a car thing as it doest happen with any bluetooth speakers in the house. Though the fix I posted earlier seems to have solved the issue.
