Stopping boot dvd

Is there a way to stop users from being able to boot from the DVD on a mac?

i dont think so
that would defeat the purpose of having the disc
your best bet would be to just hide the disk

Well it doesn't stop staff from installing the OS them self and trying to get away with it. So I was looking for a way to lock it down to stop that headache.
Students also like to use LIVE CD's and boot off of those.
