I have noticed recently that my 17" PB was making highly annoying high pitched beeps at regular about 5 second intervals. Before almot taking a hammer to it, I narrowed the problem down the a process called HP Communications. Obviosly this is for my printer, but is there anyway that I can stop this process from starting when i log on?

While the horrible HP software did put something in my Startup, i had already taken it out. I really dont know what the process actually does.

Maybe try typing the process name in to the search window in the finder. If you delete the program file it can't run it...
This is not exactly a clean uninstall of course :)

Since it is making audible beeps, I doubt it is communicating with the printer. I find it more likely it is trying to communicate with you.
