Storage disappearing/leak...?

Hi all, I have noticed with my iPhone my storage since installing ios 8 has dropped from 4gb to now under 1gb without me download anything significant.

My ipad has dropped from 7.1 to 6.7 over the past few days and nothing has been downloaded. But confused as to what is going on.

App updates? You can go to usage and see what's taking up the space.

Hi had to erase and restore phone as memory kept dropping this morning. No idea what was causing it, before erase 200mb free now it's stating 7gb free after all photos etc downloaded. Hoping it won't randomly keep dropping again.
