Hey all,
this might seem a some what easy question but my brain can't find it
so here is my current state of affairs
Macbook pro with an SSD drive that I don't want to degrade with excess pictures, videos and music files.
I have a time capsule I use to wireless back up to, which does all the wireless work in my house and is connected to the internet via a BT home HUB2.0 via ethernet (I have disabled the hubs wireless as its N but only 150)
I need a drive that I can store all my files on. I tried using the timecapsule but I ran into some issues, which maybe my fault
1. because it stops spinning when not in use, sync files to my ipod and ipad doesn't work as it says there unfindable
2. downloading songs on itunes puts files to the main drive on the laptop and not the media folder in the time capsule even though i told itunes that the media folder was on the time capsule.
questions
1. can I use an external drive to fix this problem? or did i get something wrong with the time capsule, if so how can I fix it?
2. if I can use a drive what one? can it be used wirelessly? e.g. connected to timecapsule and shared so I can see my music in itunes and sync without issues.
3. How would I set it up to do this?
Might seem silly question but I just can't seem to figure this one out?
thanks everyone
