Same feeling, changing from 45mm to 42mm. 41mm was too small so hopefully I like the fit.

I feel like the link is going to be super popular, it matches Ultra way better than the silver one.
Well I’m sad because I was finally gonna go bigger, but I’m wondering if 46 will be too big also. I mean definitely the smaller size is probably best for me because my wrists are fairly small, but my eyes don’t love the smaller watch.
I preordered.........a new band. I've got a 45mm Series 9 and there's zero reason to upgrade considering the watch didn't gain as much size as the rumors said.
Yeah I am wondering how my existing SS link bracelet will match the natural titanium :/
I reckon it will be passable, in the way that the SS bracelet worked with the ultra. I don't think I'd invest in another link bracelet though; Apple changes the finishes far too often now for my liking.
I've been wondering the same thing. It's part of the reason I chose natural rather than gold. It's hard to make a choice based on an image on a computer screen or phone.
My Apple Watch Series 6 in gold stainless now has a $90 trade in value. It used to be $120 before the event! I will not upgrade until it gets damaged or blood oxygen is back.
Was looking forward to going back to the normal watch this year after the Ultra and then Ultra 2 the past two years. Was initially disappointed there wasn’t a silver titanium finish but found out the Hermes watch is silver. So I ordered that today. Don’t even know which band since I only use sports bands and don’t care about the Hermes band, but 46mm silver titanium Hermes for 9/20 delivery.

What made you go from an U2 to a standard Apple Watch btw? Fed up of the bulk?

I’ve changed my mind now lol ordered the black ultra 2. Battery life is the overall factor that made me backtrack. Also ultra is still getting the sleep anapia feature. And I do like the ultra watch faces.
i sold my ultra 2 like a fool before launch if I knew they wouldn’t update it would’ve kept it oh well
Oh thats annoying then, but nobody really expected Apple not to update the Ultra though in your defence. Great news for those not upgrading this year who have it already however.
Not a fan of the aesthetics of the Ultra myself, plus it looks enormous on me, but the battery life is exactly what a smartwatch should perform to IMO.
Tried to pre-order the moment the store came back up and went through it in about 3 minutes where I spent 2 minutes thinking about the color.
By the time I had placed the order it had already pushed me back to delivery Monday 23rd. So far they haven't charged me which is a sign they aren't unlikely to ship it until next week.
Ended up with the natural titanium. I was not interested in the stainless steel due to the extra weight but the titanium models reduce the weight significantly so that's no longer an issue.

I found that unless battery life is significantly better than 2 days I don't bother and just charge it once a day (twice with longer/multiple workouts). Now with the S10 you can pretty much charge it in 30 minutes. An hour a day gives you almost 2 charges. The Ultra has a better battery life but the newer fast charging will be more of an advantage I think.
I will be traveling to North Carolina in a few weeks and decided to pick up an M4 iPad 1T (with special glass), and an Apple Watch Hermès. I thought about the Ultra but I would want a UW3. maybe next year UW3
