    Hi everyone,

Now that I've got a few bands and I'm switching around them a bit I was wondering the best way to store my leather loop?

I normally put the two parts laying down next to each other in a drawer but I was wondering if they were better stored "magnetised" to each other like they are supplied in the box?

Would storing the two parts separately (like I currently do) make the magnets weaker? Do they need to be joined to keep the strength of their magnetism?

    Thanks for any advice.

According to a 3 second Google search: If a magnet is stored away from power lines, other magnets, high temperatures, and other factors that adversely affect the magnet, it will retain its magnetism essentially forever. Modern magnet materials do lose a very small fraction of their magnetism over time.

Was that really necessary? I came here to ask the question in what I thought was a friendly forum, I won't bother again.

Don't mind them. People like that have no other place or way to make themselves feel superior.

As for the strength of the magnets you'll be long gone before the magnet is, I wouldn't worry about it. For what it's worth this is how I store mine.

Thank you, I see you stick yours to itself and don't have any problems so I might do that.

Personally I think it's better to keep both flat- to keep the "crease" of the loop flat when not in use. The weight of my 6 sport bands on stacked top of my leather loop and classic bands keep them flat and new looking. Even after wearing them the crease can disappear if I leave flat for a couple of days, depending on whether I want to use them or not.

I considered the crease issue but if you notice bends between the links it really doesn't have a memory. I've had it stored for weeks at a time and it pops back straight.

The bumps on the band, the band will always fold in between, there isn't any memory issue with the band when folding there.
