Is there a way to go straight back to the clock from an app? Now when you press the crown you get to the app view. If you click it again you center the app view and then if you press it again you are back to the clock. Is't there an easier way to just go straight to the clock?

Where do I set up so double click gets me back to the clockface?

I believe you'll have to wait until watchOS 2.0 is released for the following feature:
  • Clicking the Digital Crown in the home screen now always returns the user to the Clock face

Yep, double click the Crown to get to the Watch face. Double click it again to go back to the App.

Double click isn't always going to bring you back to the clock. It will only bring you to your previous app. If you used one app then went to another, it will take you back to your first app and not the clock.

Cover the face with your hand. It will send the watch back to the clock for the next time the display turns on.

Just leave your watch alone for a short period of time and it will default back to the watch screen all by itself.

As long as you have in General: Wake Screen: Show Watch Face selected. I have and prefer Resume Last Activity selected. Of course Show Watch Face is default (I think).

That's true.

Another way to get to the clock face is to click the Crown _3_ times, but do it slowly.

1. App screen
2. Center app screen on clock app
3. Open clock app

It's a bit more cumbersome, but I do use it when it's necessary.

That is in OP's original post.

Do this work for you when you have read an SMS or if you are on the app page? It dosn't for me. I can cover the watch with my hand or turn my wrist so it goes dark and the activate it again without it going back to the watch face...

In other apps it work though...

Yes; works in both of those cases for me
