It's not as bad I was expecting. Did you use zoom? It actually seems right for the lighting. Sad to say but iPhone photos in indoor lighting is always a crap shoot.

It was at 2X zoom, which I've heard uses the 1X camera and digitally zooms it in lower light shots. I also have a Galaxy 7edge and yeah it definitely takes batter low light shots if this is what it's supposed to look like.

Yep... this is the problem. It was either using digital zoom or the smaller camera which is f2.8 without OIS. Either of which would produce the Monet water color effect in an iPhone.
