My 3rd gen iPad is showing a strange behaviour since a couple of months.

When I am typing sometimes it gets reeeeeaaallly slow up to the point I feel frustrated.

Do anyone know what could this problem be ? Is it something known ?

So what you do is, hard-reset. To do this, hold the home and the power button at the same time until the screen goes black and an apple symbol comes up. At this point, you can let go. After anywhere from 1-10 minutes, it will go to the unlock screen and then you can go about your normal business as usual. If this doesn't work, try clearing out your apps and photos and videos you don't need or use anymore. For example if you have printed a photo, you don't need it anymore. Don't feel obligated to have 5 apps left and no photos. Just about 10 photos and 3-10 apps (ranging from how much space they take up) will be fine. If none of these work, sorry for your time.
~Hope this helps!
