Hey guys,

I noticed something odd on my MacBook and wanted to check if anyone has experienced this before.

A few days ago, I used a dark blue microfiber cloth to wipe the palm rest area. After that, a faint blue line suddenly appeared on the surface. It looked like a streak or mark rather than a scratch.

I tried cleaning it with a slightly damp microfiber cloth and it eventually came off, but it took quite a bit of wiping.

Just today I used a soft black brush to remove dust from the palm rest area and a similar line appeared again briefly at the same spot.

Has anyone seen this happen before? Could this be the dye transfer from cloth/brush or residue reacting with the aluminum surface or something else with the anodized coating?

Just a bit worried if I might be causing damage to the finish over time.

Thanks for any insights 🙏
