I just noticed that the startup disk icon in System Preferences has been changed. Does anybody know how to fix it? A picture is below. Thanks in advance.

A restart should do you good, as polishmacuser suggested.

If that doesn't work, you might be able to replace the preference pane icon in whatever directory those are stored in (I think it's Library > PreferencePanes > StartupDisk.prefPane).

Close System Preferences, then look for a file called "com.apple.preferencepanes.cache"...it's in <your user directory>/Library/Caches. Drag it to your Desktop and then try opening System Preferences again. If all looks well, you can go ahead and trash the file you dragged to your Desktop.
