Strange iPhone Happenings

Hope someone can help, cause 5 Apple Geniuses were struggling. My iPhone 3G is constantly freezing and hanging, i've restored it, reset it, completely wiped it, then even set the iPhone from scratch and still tons of problem. The Geniuses were great help but we were all a bit stumped. We came to the conclusion the fact there is only 28Mb of free space that this could be affecting the phone's preformance. Any ideas?

The amount of free space could very well be your problem. So, delete some stuff??

That very well could be the problem. Have you used the phone before loading all the stuff onto it to see if it is still having performance problems? And did you do a DFU restore?
