OK, I'm stumped about this. I have an 1G iPod Touch and am having a problem charging it. When i plug it into my mac it starts charging then gives the apple then shuts down. This will continue a few times then it will go to the normal charging screen. The iPod will stay on for a bit then start to cycle again. The charging battery is clear with no red or green inside of it. Im just stumped and can't find anything about this. I hope someone can help me with this.:apple:

Really strange... does it actually hold a charge? It could mean the battery is dead, or near death.

Then I guess it's the battery. It's three years old, after all...

You should email Apple support, though. They might have a solution for it.
