I've got a question that probably hasn't been asked yet...

I just got a new 2017 MacBook Pro 13 inch. Very excited to have it, also just had a baby. I'm on the couch, and my wife comes to grab something, she leaks milk right onto my keyboard when, one, maybe two drops landed on my escape key. No issues so far, should I be worried something was damaged? How resistant it the keyboard to that sort of thing?

I think you might be worrying a bit too much. Two drops is not going to do anything.

I spilled a whole beer on my MBP right on top of the keyboard and it was okay. I did act very fast and did a normal shutdown and then cleaned the whole thing and it was good (and still is).
