Strange Mail behaviour

The MAIL app on my iMac does not seem to work.

It seems to be stuck on friday! Any mail after that date are missing.

I have checked in MAIL menu/Window/Connection doctor and here it says "connection and login to surfer succeeded" with a green light. Tried it again with "Check Again" button. Still same reply.

But when I check the same mailboxes on my iPhone, there are recent emails.

Tried restart of iMac - still same results

... help ?
