There Is a strange tiny purple mark on my lens. I cleaned the lens and there looks to be no scratches. Do you think this is an internal problem? Should I take it in? Thanks for the help.

You think it's internal ?

And how does it work if they have to send it in? Do they give replacements ?

Take it to an apple store, they will tell you what's up. For my problem (bad battery) they just swapped it out and gave me a new phone (phone in a slim white box). Keep in mind if it's swapped out you cannot return it.

If you are within the time limit for a return I'd probably do it that way instead. Either through your carrier or apple.

Probably can't return it. Bought it at launch. So If I bring it in ill never see it again?

Your phone comes with a year of applecare warranty. why wouldnt you take it in to be replaced???? Unless you're happy with that speck on all of your photos. Just get it looked at. They'll either fix it or replace it ON THE SPOT.

just make a genius appointment and go in. apple staff is beyond friendly.

I don't think there's any way they could blame it on you..it's not physical damage to the lens..it looks like a sensor issue.

Take it in and they should fix it/replace it under warranty. As another poster said, worst they can say is no (but I doubt they will).
