Strange mic fail

Mine is iPhone4.

There are some different situations for mic. some works fine, but some fail.

1. receive or make a phone call -> mic works.
2. receive or make a phone call with speaker mode -> mic fails. (but I could hear the other side)
3. audio recorder -> mic works.
4. default build-in video recorder -> mic fails.
5. only FiLMiC Pro could record video with sound SOMETIMES, not always. (other app I have tried -> mic fails)
6. If I use mic of headphone, everything works.

Speaker works normal for all situation.

Any possible for this?

How long has this been happening? Is it a recent issue?

Have you tried resetting your iPhone? (slide to power off, press sleep/wake to power on again).

Is your iPhone Jailbroken? If so there may be a software conflict and so you might want to consider removing the jailbreak.

Lastley, you might want to try backing-up your iPhone and resetting it back to factory settings in iTunes, before reinstalling the OS again.

Theses are the things I would look at if I had the same issues.

Thanks for tour reply.

It existed about one month longer.
No JB. and iOS 5.1.

I backup and reset data/setting to default. No luck. Mic still fails when record video.

I know iPhone has two mic, maybe one of them is broken ?
