Strange noise from Disk Drive after slight impact

Wonder if anybody can help me

Unibody macbook pro

Now when hitting the eject button or when i turn it on
instead of making the normal noise it makes a noise pattern, its really odd

Not the normal noise from disk drive

Its hard to explain


But it wont seem to go back to how it was, is it broke??

Are you talking about the SuperDrive? If yes, the sound you're speaking of, do you hear the soft sound of the header retracting/aligning and then here a more denser sound like it's almost grinding?

HAHAHAHA (sorry had to laugh, that almost had a beat going! 😀). there's probably something wrong - it doesn't know when to stop tracking almost like it's confused. I'd take it in to see a Genius or something have that taken care of.
