My mac pro has an intermittent humming/buzzing noise when turned off. I notice it at night because it sits next to my bed - i end up turning the power off at the outlet to get rid of the noise.

Does anyone know what this is? It doesn't sound normal but I'm not sure if it's something i should be contacting a genius about

Sounds like a power supply issue... have you opened the case (while it's off) to try and pinpoint where the buzzing is coming from?

No I haven't tried that yet but it's definately coming from around the back of the computer. I'll open it up when i get home.

Cheers
