Hey everyone.
I was trying to view the following file in Preview
http://www.kohala.com/start/troff/v7man/eqn/eqn2e.ps
I noticed that there are parts where the file doesn't display correctly, for instance the parentheses in the front page are cut, the square root symbols on page three are broken.
At first I though it might be that something didn't go well with the .ps -> .pdf conversion that Preview did, so I tried to convert the file with both pstopdf and ps2pdf before opening in Preview, but I got the exact same thing.
Then I tried to open this same converted pdf in Linux and Windows, and in both OSes the file displays flawlessly! I then tried to open the original ps file in this online viewer
http://view.samurajdata.se/
and again, the file displays just fine.
I tested this in my MacBook and iMac, both running Leopard, the MacBook upgraded from Tiger and the iMac fresh-installed, both unable to display the file correctly. Something is clearly wrong here, and I wonder if anyone can please help.
Here's a how the file looks like in Preview
here's how it SHOULD look like (and how it looks in Linux and Win, but these images were actually taken from the online viewer)
