Strange pop-up in Safari?

    What extensions/add-ons do you have installed?

    it could be part of the site you're on, or it could be DNS redirect.
    Check your DNS settings

    I have 1password extension, click to flash, evernote clipper, amazon invisible hand, amazon wish list.

    how do I check the DNS settings?

    My guess would be one of the amazon extensions.

    it happened when I was trying to buy tickets from fandango...how do I stop those popups?

    Try removing the Amazon extensions and see if the pop-ups stop. If they do, add the extensions back, one at a time, until you determine which one causes it. Also, check the extensions to see if there are any options or settings you can modify.
