    Hello everyone,

I made this account to post my problem, because I didn't know where to look, since there aren't any Authorized Service Provider's in my area (I'm from Belgium, there's not even an official apple store here).

Today I plugged in my iPod Touch 5th gen in school, because I was helping with the setup of a party in zdhool and my teacher asked if anyone could play some music via AUX. I said that I had an iPod with me and connected it to the mixer. I already had my song ready on my screen, but when te speakers were turned on, my iPod turned off. Also, it was getting really hot. Since then, my iPod doesn't do anything anymore: It doesn't go on, pressing the lock button, or connecting to my MacBook; nothing works.

If none of you know what's going on, I will write apple a letter and tell them what happened.

I really hope someone can help me out, because I paid my iPod myself and I really want it to work again.

    Thanks in advance!

I recommend putting it in recovery mode: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808
If that link is no good for you, because you're in Belgium, type in your search engine: iPod recovery mode. I hope that does it.

im not sure but maybe it has to do with the current voltage difference when you plug it in to the aux and it could fry up the main board.

    maybe i was wrong.

Press and hold the lock and home buttons at the same time for around 10 seconds.
