I have the macbook pro that came out early 2011, and I have had the weirdest thing happen. Basically I can set my iPhone 4 on the left hand side of the trackpad, like lay it on my computer and it will make it look like I put the computer to sleep. It makes the screen go black, and It takes a second to restart just like when you close and open a macbook. Its really strange because It only does it on the left hand side, not the side with the hard drive. Anyone else have this happen?:confused:

Metal in the iPhone is triggering the the sensor that makes the computer sleep when the lid is closed.

I thought it needed a magnetic type of metal for that though? It's just stupid that my damn phone can't lay on my computer without turning it off :(
