Hi there,

I have a feeling that the answer to my question will be there is only one way, but i thought i'd give it a go at the forums as my last desperate attempt.

I have two seperate external HD's, i am trying to transfer thousands of folders from one external HD to another external HD. The folders are music artist folders with each folder having many sub folders. So for example David Bowie has 3 albums in it.
So for example if i try and transfer all of the folders in the letter 'T' from one Ext. HD to another ext. Hd it will come up with the usual message that the folders you are transferring from your original ext. HD to your source HD has the same names, would you like to replace it with the nwewer you are moving?

I don't want to skip the folders, all i want to do is add all of the folders but let it only add the sub folders(albums) that it needs. So for example if my original ext. HD has David bowie with three albums in it, and my source has 2 albums in it, i want it to transfer only the one it is missing.

i know this issue affects millions of mac users, there must be an easier way than manually checking every single one, or some kind of APP.

any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
