Hi all,
I decided to get the blue series 6 :)
I unboxed it and put it on, went into the kitchen under bright lights to check it out and noticed this weird indentation under the screen. I checked my old watch and my wife’s and didn’t see the same thing, so I’m concerned it could be an issue.
The look of it doesn’t bother me so much since with screen on and not under direct light you probably wouldn’t see it- but... I just can’t imagine this is “normal” and concerned it may effect longevity somehow.

Has anyone seen this before on any of your watches?

May need to watch in highest resolution, kind of hard to pick up on video.

Thanks for any feedback.

I can't really tell what you're seeing, but if you aren't satisfied then exchange it. It will always bug you.

Take it back the screen is bent underneath the glass.

Can easily see it in certain lightning conditions, towards the bottom of the screen.

can you post some pictures of the charcoal sport loop please, still waiting on mine to arrive. 🥺

There are a few posts/threads here about this issue. It seems more apparent with the SS watches (that’s my memory of previous posts about it anyway) and something to do with the manufacturing process. I’ve had four SS and they’ve all had it. The screen isn’t bent as the ‘bend’ doesn’t impact how the screen looks when it’s on. You can only notice it when off and with direct bright light hitting it.

I personally never see it in normal use (and one of my watches has it far worse than this) so forget it’s even there until a thread pops up about it.

Enjoy your watch 🙂

I see what you’re referring too Towards the bottom half of the display. So here’s my take on this, years ago, there was something similar where it kind of shows an ‘orange peel’ like texture under the display, (almost dimple like), but it doesn’t have any effect on the actual display itself. Some members were noticing what you’re saying in the years past, I suspect it’s just a manufacturing tendency with the display itself. If you start to notice any defects with the color or uneven lighting, then I would address that issue.

Oh yeah, that would drive me nuts. My SS watches have always had a bit of 'irregularities' like that, but nothing that pronounced.
