Strange selection rectangle on Stacks

I have never noticed this before. There's a gray selection rectangle that follows my cursor when I move it across my stacks in grid mode. It didn't used to be there. Is there a way to get rid of it?

The easiest way is to download and install a program called "Docker" which has an option to enable/disable this feature. If you have already downloaded Docker, it automatically enables this by default. Which I'm thinking you must have or picked up a similar program since that function isn't available in OS X by normal means.
