OK, I'll keep this simple.

I have a HTPC, running Win7. I share my Media (TV Shows, Movies, etc) around the house. The problem is, when I connect to the share, from my MacBook Pro (my main computer) only a few of my folders show up. Eg, i have say, 70, folders on the HTPC but only about 50 show up, and a few that are greyed out and inaccessible.

What I have tried, Restarting the HTPC with updates all installed, set sharing to default and started again. Can;t really think of what to try after that.

Common problem?

Thank you in advance!

On the HTPC, verify BOTH the NTFS permissions and the sharing permissions on the shared folder are set correctly. In addition to that, check the folders you do NOT see on the Mac from the Windows side - verify that "inherit permissions from parent" (or whatever Microsoft called the option these days) is enabled.
