Hey all,

I'm experiencing some odd upload behavior with a Mac Studio and was wondering if anyone else here could confirm what I'm seeing.

Issue: Upload speed to speedtest.net (with mac app store app) seems to be capping out around 400 mbps on a 1gb uplink.

Description:

The poor performance seems to be a result of the mac studio being connected to a 10gb switch with its 10gb ethernet port. When I force the port to 1gb, everything behaves normally and I get near 1gb upload to the internet.

Some research indicates that enabling flow control on the switch should solve this issue, but in my case it doesn't appear to help, which is odd. I'm curious if anyone else is capable of replicating this issue or perhaps working around it, given a similar configuration to mine.

Simple answer is we can't.

You have provided insufficient information, which leads to too many unknown variables with regards to your network setup.

Sounds like a problem with your network switch.
