Whenever I start up my app in the iPhone Simulator, it turns out dark like this:

I went back to Interface Builder and the background color was set to white, which makes this very strange. Does anybody know how to fix the problem?

Thanks in advance! :)

Looks like you've got a bad display. Return your simulator to any simulated Apple store for a free replacement. ;)

How long do you wait before ending the simulator?

My main app that I am working on, has some large files and loads a few libraries. Typically the first time I run the simulator for the day (after a boot up of the MacBook), I have to wait about 30s for the app to run, and it sits on the black screen like that.

If it sits like that indefinently, it may mean you have your default startup class not set correctly
