I'm doing a retouching job in PS. I've clipped a large area, but when I activate the path to clip or copy it, it throws a weird random rectangular section into the middle of it which is causing me problems. I've restarted PS, there are no other paths or elements in the layers that could be causing it, and once it's activated, there's nothing to click on with the white pointer to try to delete just that part.

It isn't there when you view the path just hilighted, only when you activate the path and set it shimmering ready to cut, copy or whatever.

Sorry, I'm trying to edit the title now, as it somehow lost half when I posted.... ughhh

Any ideas? Thx

You haven't accidentally added a large feathering value to the selection tool?

Nope. Guess I'll never know. In the end I had to just clip with the rectangle cut out then paste the hole back together from sections of the original image. Filed under NFI
