I just bought a 27' iMac. I had it for 3 or 4 days and now I start noticing some strange artifacts on the screen.

These are a couple of examples. Is this a known issue? What could it be? I installed the CUDA Drivers to use on Premiere Pro, but could that cause this kind of problem?

It came already installed with yosemite, so should I try fresh install anyways?

I've seen a couple like this but only in the hyperdock app dock previews.

it might have to do with premiere or CUDA because I only seemed to get this since I installed it. I'm gonna try to run premiere in openCL, or not run premiere at all to see if I get the same artifacts. They come and go, for example I rested now and they didn't appear yet.

Sorry - totally assumed you had a new retina iMac. Either way, I would do a fresh install of the OS. Any machine I buy that has an OS "pre-installed" gets wiped and reinstalled before I use it. This way I know it wasnt a pooched install.

I had a customers mac that had the same type of issue Apple had to replace the main board booting to a clean I stall did not fix the issue only once the main board was replaced the issue went away
