My first iPad will arrive in the mail on Friday, but I am also a happy owner of an Android phone.

My question is, what strategies or apps have any of you successfully used to share data across platforms/devices?

Specifically, I'd like to create notes, calendar events, photos, etc. and be able to access them from either device, anytime. I am heavily invested in Google products, so if there's anything that plays nicely with those, that's a bonus.

Note that I'm not interested in switching to the iPhone, I'd like to enjoy the best of both Android & iOS worlds. I'm equally uninterested in an Android tablet at this time.

Gmail can house all of the contacts, calendar, and e-mails. You just need to use the Google Sync method on the iPad to share Gmail Contacts, Calendar, and e-mail. This means any contacts you save to your iPad, will appear on your Android device and vice versa.

Oh and for Apps, iWork apps can work with WebDAV so anything you work on can be saved to Google Docs. Dropbox, Flickr, and Quickoffice Apps will also help you to integrate with Google stuff a little better too.

You can use an exchange account on ipad to pull in contacts, calendar, email etc from google on to ipad.

Dropbox for pictures or other files i guess.
