Carrier Strategy to get your iphone 5s

I don't trust my carrier (AT&T) so I'm ordering through Apple again. I'm in LA so if they use a similar system, I'm going to get up about 1 AM (an hour or so after they go on sale) and order for delivery to my home.

My wife's job in that delivery Friday ( Sep 20?) is to stay home and welcome my new phone.

This. I waited over night at my local Apple store for the iPhone 4. I'm glad I did it, lots of fun, etc. However, I wouldn't do it again.

I do it when I know I have time. FedEx comes around here mid to late afternoon so unless I'm working that day, I'm waiting in line.

Get a sim-only contract which you can back out of at any time and get a great deal for a cheap price and then go online and order a PAYG iPhone 5S on release day. That's how I do it and it seems to work perfectly.
