For running/jogging - I am a former Strava user and used it heavily when I was biking about a year ago. Just recently got my Apple Watch 3 GPS (Saturday) and for my first run on Saturday I used Strava. But I noticed I wasn't getting any of Apple's badges so Sunday I ran with Apple Activities app - and I prefer it to Strava but would love to update Strava because some family uses it (one family member has an Apple watch) - but I'm not attached to it at all.

I don't see a way to send Apple Activities to Strava.

What do you all do?

I was considering Strava Premium but now that I have an Apple Watch, I'm just going to stop using Strava I think.

Under Strava settings go to connect with Health.

Apple Health's settings --- note that there is no Allow Strava to read workouts / walking + running.

I'm gunna try to reinstall Strava and see if that works.
[doublepost=1511805678][/doublepost]It's possible to that since it was a walk/run it didn't count it?

I'll try a run after work today (with no walking) and see if that works - via the Activities app only.

Forum comments are saying I have to reboot the watch and the phone for this to work - so I'll try that too.

Yeah this is a known issue I guess. Whatever - I'll just use Apple Activities.

Doesn't look like you can send data from Apple Activities to Strava. You can use Strava and it will send to Apple Health but that's it.

RunGap will take apple activities and send them to Strava, Garmin, Endo, Nike+, MapMyRun, Runtastic, SportsTracker, Polar Flow, Suunto, TomTom, Adidas, Apple Health, Training Peaks, Sport Tracks, Smashrun, Final Surge, Magellan, Daily, Fitbit, 2Peak, Facebook, Dropbox, and more....

This is what I use, and apart from the initial "import" of activities, and the subsequent duplication, this is a great app to keep all of the "BB's" stacked.

I just did my 1st run with the watch and I used Strava as it fits into all my previous runs.
I think I have to get used to it, didn't manage to stop the watch for a minute at the end while it turned out to be actually quite easy.

My hear rate measurement only came in a minute after the start, that's a bit annoying. But I think someone posted a workaround here somewhere, will have to find it.

After a week of usage, my wife and I are using the Apple Activities app only now. Strava was cool when I was biking with my iPhone but ... now I like the activities app a bit more. I'm using HealthFit to export the data to Strava for my family only using Strava but I've even stopped that -- just sending them screenshots of my activities app.

I do miss the achievements that Strava posts but I'm hardly a serious runner or an expert so Apple's Activities is perfect for me. But if I was more serious, I'd probably do Strava.

I noticed when I first got my watch, activities recorded under Strava resulted in no badges in the Activities app - this prompted us to use Activities to get the cool Apple Achievement badges. " " :p

I've only biked with Strava (1 year) so it's easier for me to just use Apple Activities. But if I had tons of running data in Strava, I'd probably use that.

I use the Nike app. It's working well. Was never a fan of strava. I used mapmyrun for years as it had been more accurate than all the rest(when I last compared them all).

Using Strava at the moment since I end up putting all my workouts on Strava. May try some other options and use RunGap at some point, but I really do like the notifications I get from the Strava app through my headphones (time spent on run, distance, and time of last mile).
