I have a macbook pro and wants to start to use iTunes.
Can I steam audio from my NAS via uPNP/DLNA into iTunes without importing it directly to my mac?

Or do I need additional software?

Well iTunes doesn't support DLNA in any way shape or form. However if you can mount the NAS as a drivem you can just import (but not copy) the content into iTunes and just stream it across the network.

It's the same thing you want to achieve. Just make sure iTunes is set to not copy content that is being imported.
