Sadly it doesn't seem so, so far, at least not in Public Betas 1 and 2.

I wanted the same thing for Sequoia... That Sequoia morning, day, and night would just automatically switch to match the time of day, but alas they don't, they act like separate choices.

I really want that functionality on the Sequoia forest and the new Tahoe lakeside view!

Some external displays can be problematic (and slow) with waking up, using a screensaver prevents that issue.
