Firefox does the same thing which tells me there's malicious software buried beneath the surface
getting super technical, they are a relic of times when burn-in was a real concern & leaving anything statically on a screen for more than 5min was a bad idea (funnily enough we’ve come full-circle a bit in that regard with OLED but I digress)Why do you need a screensaver? Just let the display turn off.
How much resources do these take up? Probably around 1 gig of ram to run in the background.
Not that impressed. Watching on a 4K OLED monitor and they just lack detail and range.
Congratulations, you found another way to complain. Write it down so you don't forget. Why do you need a screensaver? Just let the display turn off.
None of them load for me in Safari (17.6, fully up to date on my older machine).I'm getting the same in Firefox. In Safari the link loads fine.
ah okay. yeah that would be cool. I really miss dynamic wallpapers, but the article is implying that they do that, so not sure what they're talking about...Sadly it doesn't seem so, so far, at least not in Public Betas 1 and 2.
I wanted the same thing for Sequoia... That Sequoia morning, day, and night would just automatically switch to match the time of day, but alas they don't, they act like separate choices.
I really want that functionality on the Sequoia forest and the new Tahoe lakeside view!
They also function as dynamic wallpapers that adapt throughout the day.
How these work is the video screensaver comes to a gentle stop when you unlock your Mac, ending up on a different part of the video each time as your desktop image. If you really wanted static images just do fullscreen screenshots when you see the frame you like, using these video files of the screen savers. Is there any way to get a static snapshot for the desktop?
It's safe to say they will be.Are these available on tvOS?
This is incorrect. These are not dynamic wallpapers. They also function as dynamic wallpapers that adapt throughout the day.
Also got that warning in Firefox. Tried in Safari and it loaded without problems.Firefox does the same thing which tells me there's malicious software buried beneath the surface
Don't agree! Looked good overall on a Philips 32" 4K model 32M2N8900/00.Not that impressed. Watching on a 4K OLED monitor and they just lack detail and range.
I had the same thing here.I'm getting the same in Firefox. In Safari the link loads fine.
